Allow pvp unlock of Recovery, Restoration, Clarity, Purity for all campaigns
I own Prophecies and Factions. I can buy Recovery, Restoration, Clarity and Purity runes at any rune trader but I'm not allowed to unlock these with my Balthazar faction to put on a PvP char.
Certain insignia also seem to only be PvP unlockable if you bought Nightfall (Prismatic insignia for ele is one, don't know if there are others). You can unlock these via PvE.
Allow these as PVP unlocks for all campaigns.

I just checked. Vigor, vitae and attunement look to be unlockable by a priest of balthazar but the 4 I mentioned in this thread aren't. I'm guessing they are only unlockable in PvP if you own Nightfall.
Kind of sucks that I can put them on a PvE char and use them in PvP but I can't unlock them for a PvP char.

Either block people without NF from using them (and deal with complaints from the people who would suddenly be unable to) or make them core.
Basically I feel there should be no situation where a player with UAX for the chapters they own should be able to make a PvE character stronger than a PvP one.

And how does having access to those particular runes make a character stronger?

Spoonfeed, stats are right off this site at http://www.guildwarsguru.com/content...ist-id2204.php
Rune of Recovery
Reduces Dazed duration by 20%
Reduces Deep Wound duration by 20%
Rune of Restoration
Reduces Bleeding duration by 20%
Reduces Crippled duration by 20%
Rune of Clarity
Reduces Blind duration by 20%
Reduces Weakness duration by 20%
Rune of Purity
Reduces Disease duration by 20%
Reduces Poison duration by 20%
If you can't think of any cases in PvP when you'd like to reduce blind times on a melee char or reduce dazed times on a caster then you aren't trying. It's not huge but it's useful.
I also noticed certain insignias seem to be specific to Nightfall. I was already UAX on Prophecies and Factions and unlocked the Prismatic insignia afterwards via PvE. If you can unlock it in PvE then you should have it available as a PvP unlock.

Yeah, I don't see why you can have access to them in PvE but not PvP. That said, you can still buy the runes to put on your PvP character, though it means rebuying it every time you reroll. At least your PvE char won't be better than your PvP.

Like campaing-only skills and dervish and paragon insignia, they are Nightfall only and you have to do something to get them:
Buy Nightfall.
You can get them in PvE thanks to how the system works, though...

i can understand that i miss out on new content when i don't buy nightfall... but being unable to use these runes is a disadvantage in pvp. one thing that makes the GW chapters concept a valid one is that characters are still competitive if you only own one chapter.

Forgive me for being unsympathetic, but you're reasoning is terrible since these runes are nothing compared to the skills you are missing out on instead putting you at the disadvantage. The runes belong to the NF campaign along with certain insignias and other additions...fact
.

A person who only owns prophecies right now can go to a trader and buy these runes for their PvE char. And I've unlocked certain insignias via PvE that I couldn't buy with balthazar faction. So your 'fact' is wrong.
